I am a Certified Translator with over 20 years of experience in Polish and English translation, a member of the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Alberta (ATIA), and, by affiliation, a member of the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters Council (CTTIC).

I hold Master's degrees in Art & Design and Humanitites Computing as well as Translation Studies, both from the University of Alberta, where I also taught Polish Language courses.

My primary research focus is on Magdalena Samozwaniec, the Kossak family, and Translation History. My other areas of academic interest include Linguistic Borrowing and Code-Switching, Popular Women's Literature, and Polysystem Theory.
